Low-priced and power-threatening Zambian copper mines

Irmgard Erasmus, economic analyst at NKC Africa Economics, said some of Zambia's copper mines are facing a collapse as global copper prices continue to fall and the power supply crisis is worsening, according to Dow Jones Newswires.


Zambia is Africa's second largest copper producer.


Erasmus said that copper prices have fallen to multi-year low, expected to continue to weaken and volatile.
