Starter description

The role of the starter is when the key hit the start position, the energy into kinetic energy, thus starting the engine.

When starting the engine, turn the ignition switch to the start position and start the relay coil circuit. The crankshaft of the engine is rotated to bring the piston of the engine to the ignition position.

Starter works

The circuit is: battery positive → 30 terminals → ammeter → ignition switch → start relay "ignition switch" next column → coil → ground → battery negative. The core is magnetized to attract the contact arm and the contact arm is closed.

The solenoid coil circuit closes the relay contact and turns on both the attracting coil and the holding coil current circuit. Attraction coil circuit: Positive terminal of the battery → Terminal 30 → Start relay "Battery" Post, bracket, contact "Starter" terminal → Terminal "50" → Suction coil → Starter magnetic field terminal → Motor field winding → Armature winding → Ground → battery negative.

Keep the coil circuit: positive terminal of the battery → 30 terminal → start relay "battery" connecting pole, bracket, contact, "starter" terminal → terminal "50" → holding coil → ground → battery negative pole. When the suction coil and keep the coil just connected to the current, the two coils produce the same direction of the magnetic flux, in its magnetic effect, the active core forward. The rear end of which is driven by the slip ring to move the drive gear and the flywheel into engagement.

When the motor switch is turned on, the attracting coil and the additional resistance are short-circuited. Keep the coil energized. The active core remains in the closed position.

When the drive gear and the flywheel ring gear close to full engagement, the active core to drive the push rod forward so that the trigger will be the main circuit starter connected.

The circuit is: the battery positive terminal → 30 → → C terminal motor switch → magnetic field winding → positive brush → armature winding → negative brush → ground → battery negative. Start switch off Start relay to stop working, contact open.

Attraction coil circuit is: battery positive terminal → 30 → touching → C → suction coil → 50 → terminal → coil → ground → battery negative.
